Anxiety is a survival instinct that was needed to help keep us alive in any dangerous environments where predators could be present.
Our brains don't understand that the modern stresses in our lives, are not predators trying to eat us!
Therapy will teach you how to regulate these overactive primitive responses, and regain intellectual control over your emotions.

Depression is caused by past or current negative experiences in your life. Often which have been endured for extended periods of time
In the most severe cases, depression can become completely overwhelming. With the sufferer unable to engage with life or even get out of bed.
Talking and thinking about the problem can simply act as a reminder, often making things worse.
We will avoid talking about the problem, instead focusing on finding solutions and moving forward at a pace that is comfortable to you.
Working together to gradually rebuild your confidence, creating a sense of safety so you can start to re-engage with life.

People tend to think that PTSD can only be caused by a single, extreme, traumatic experience. While this can be the case, PTSD can also develop as the result of multiple repeated traumas over time. This is known as ‘complex PTSD’ (cPTSD).
Whatever the cause, PTSD is an extremely intrusive condition.
Even when its not severe enough to cause PTSD, trauma can have a profound effect on people's lives
Simple things can trigger emotional flashbacks at any point during the day, forcing you to re-live your traumatic experiences.
Combining NLP and hypnotherapy, we can target and treat each individual trigger... bringing you relief, without ever having to relive the original traumatic event.

‘Ego death’ or ‘ego dissolution’ is a mental state that can be described as a ‘complete loss of subjective self-identity’
Commonly linked with the use of psychedelics, an ego death can also be triggered by other natural causes... such as extensive meditation, an extreme traumatic event, or even a simple spontaneous realisation.
Some people can find this experience to be euphoric, but It can also leave you in a very scary place, where you lose all sense of purpose and ‘zest for life’, as a deep sense of nihilism (relentless cynicism) towards existence takes hold.
This can be incredibly isolating and lonely. But despite their struggle, many people do not seek assistance due to a fear of being misunderstood, or labelled psychotic/crazy.
While it can feel hopeless at first... when managed correctly, an ego death can be the start of a profound journey of self discovery and positive growth. Leading you to a new and improved version of yourself.
Therapy will help you to analyse and integrate your new life perspective, keeping you grounded while allowing you explore the things that still really matter to you and find a productive direction for your future.
(My services are not intended as guidance for someone seeking an ego death. It is for those who are struggling AFTER)

Phobia treatment is the closest thing to ‘magic’ that hypnotherapists perform.
Phobias can be crippling for people to try to live with.
The phobic response is a template of behaviour, that the mind has associated with a particular fear, in an attempt to keep you safe.
We will work together to break that template of behaviour, so your brain no longer understands that you are afraid.
We can then create a new pattern of behaviour to put in place of the original reaction.
'Humanistic therapy' is an umbrella term that brings together several distinct but related clinical approaches:
Person-Centred Therapy
Client-led and non-directive, focused on helping you reconnect with your own values and sense of self.
Gestalt Therapy
Grounded in the here and now, exploring how your present thoughts, feelings, and behaviours connect and interact.
Existential Therapy
Concerned with meaning, purpose, and the freedom you have to shape your own life.
Focusing on your unique potential for growth and self-understanding, rather than simply treating symptoms or diagnosing problems...
The belief is that you are the expert on your own life, and with the right conditions, you have a natural capacity to heal and flourish.
CORE PRINCIPLES
Every humanistic therapist works to provide three foundational conditions that make real therapeutic change possible:
Unconditional Positive Regard
A completely non-judgmental, accepting space where you can speak freely about anything, without fear of criticism.
Empathy
Genuine, active listening that seeks to understand the world from your perspective, not the therapist's.
Congruence
An authentic, human connection with your therapist, who shows up as a real person, rather than a detached clinical authority.

Having lived with severe depression, anxiety, and trauma for over 15 years, I understand firsthand how difficult and isolating it can be.
It was my own journey toward healing that led me into therapy, and ultimately into training as a therapist myself.
At the heart of my practice is a simple belief: that you already hold the capacity for change within you. My role is to create a safe, non-judgmental space where you feel truly heard, and where your own strengths and resources can come to the surface.
I am a qualified 'Solution Focused Hypnotherapist' and a 2nd year trainee integrative counsellor.
Blending humanistic, person-centred, Gestalt, solution focused, NLP and CBT approaches into a unique therapy that is both evidence-informed and deeply human.
I believe no single approach fits every person, which is why I draw on a range of methods and frameworks, always led by what feels right for the individual.
I offer both practical tools and support to help you manage what life throws at you... and the emotional space to explore what lies beneath.
Whether you are navigating anxiety, low mood, trauma, or simply have a sense that something needs to change, you don't have to face it alone.
I know how hard the first step can be... but I also know that you don’t have to feel like this forever.
Whether you have a specific issue you need to work through, you're lost and don't know where to turn, or you just need someone to talk to... I can help.
